2019 Michigan UP Fall Color Tour

Every fall, Michigan's Upper Peninsula is transformed by mother nature into one of the most amazing places on earth.  This trip covered many miles as I visited Porcupine Mountains State Park, Copper Harbor, and Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore.  I hope you enjoy viewing these images as much as I enjoyed photographing them.
The Little Carp River flows over a series of small water falls in Porcupine Mountains State Park near Silver City, MI.
Amazing light on a calm fall morning creates perfect reflections in the water at the Lac La Belle dock in Lac La Belle, MI.
A close-up photo of the brilliant red and yellow maple leaves exemplify the amazing fall color along Wyoming Road near Lac La Belle, MI.
A favorite location of mine for several years.  The brilliant fall color displayed along the Wyoming Road near Lac La Belle, MI is a perfect example of what the UP of Michigan looks like in the fall.
The land around Copper Harbor, MI is criss-crossed with a series of gravel back roads that provide an amazing location to shoot the brilliant fall color.
Eagle Harbor Light House on a cold, windy and cloudy morning.  Eagle Harbor, MI.
A hidden gem in Houston, MI, the drive on the Covered Road from Houghton towards Freda never seems to disappoint.
The formation of a double rainbow above the Lake of the Clouds in Porcupine Mountains State Park near Silver City, MI made standing in a rainstorm totally worthwhile.  I met several people the next morning who had left early - only then did the realize what they missed.
